Some folks were having trouble with our name from the "old country," as a result we have adopted the westernized version of our name. So, Hi! We are The Foersters (formerly Die Witzelsuchts)! We look forward to many good times and great tunes with you.

We are a Cyprus based band incorporating the best of our multi-genre influences including rock, funk, jazz, and punk into our very own brand of Alternative music. The Foersters aim to engage the listener with thought provoking subjects, honest music, and Good-time performances.

Bringing together a Stellar drummer (that is Stella-r), a singing guitarist with classical guitar training filtered through punk and metal, a sonically-schizophrenic howling bassist/songwriter/producer whose education was in the early 90s Southern California punk underground, and an intrepid singer with a jazzy past has proven explosive! We Foersters each wear our influences proudly on our sleeve without defaulting to the derivative.

The Foersters strive to blend all of our individual skills and influences along with our personalities and humour to create a succulent sonic treat. Our respect for each other and love of the music is the foundation. We hope you enjoy the results!.
