Dannys Iacovou is a Cypriot guitarist, songwriter and vocalist born on the 9th of January 1990. Dannys started attending Classical guitar lessons at the age of 10.
He continued the lessons for about five years and at the age of fifteen he decided that he wanted to switch to electric guitar due to deep fascination to more popular music genres such as Blues, Rock, Country music.
At the same time apart from the guitar lessons he attended voice lessons, music harmony and eventually he started writing his own songs and participating in various bands and music ensembles both as a guitarist and a vocalist.
From 2009 up to 2014 he attended lessons with Mr John Savvides BA Jazz Composition Berklee College of Music (Modern guitar, Jazz Harmony, Arranging).
In 2013 he graduated from the University of Nicosia with the highest honor, Summa Cum Laude (Jazz and popular Music performance BA) and he was awarded as the best graduate in BA Music for the year 2013.
IN 2014 to 2015 he attended Music technology lessons with Mr. Michalis Chrysanthou (MA in Film Composition University of Bristol). During the lessons he had the opportunity to observe various recording sessions, work as an audio engineer and also to do some mixing and editing for different projects.
In 2014 he participated as a session guitarist in the Cd single: Εικόνα δίχως χρώμα - Δημήτρης Μεσημέρης (A.R.T. Music Studio).
In 2018 he participated as a session guitarist for the album "Κόντρα στη σιωπή" with music by Achilleas Tsaggaridis and lyrics by Eleni Sioufta.
Dannys has over 10 years of experience performing as a guitarist and a vocalist all around Cyprus. He collaborated with or opened the concert for artists like Kitrina podilata, Panos Katsimihas, Pantelis Thalassinos, Giannis Margaris, Demetris Mesimeris..
Currently he is teaching acoustic and electric guitar as well as Jazz harmony and he is participating in two bands "Ravens Reign" and "Giannis Margaris and the Strangearts" and he continues with the session work inside and out of the studio.
