Job Description
The role
At the heart of our gallery, you are essential to the smooth running of our daily operations. As our Gallery Assistant / Artist Liaison, you are the driving force behind the efficient administration and coordination of artists, events, and sales processes. You will work closely with Francis Dedrie, the gallery owner, and our network of talented freelancers, within a dynamic start-up culture where organizational skills and proactive efforts are of paramount importance.
Your responsibilities include:
Artist management : First point of contact for our artists, support with contracts and administration.
Event Coordination : Planning and supporting logistics, promotion and administrative tasks for our events, with strong problem-solving skills for unforeseen challenges.
Management of Works of Art : Stock management and the presentation of works of art and exhibitions on our website.
Digital Presence & Tools : Dexterity in using digital tools for artwork management, event planning and customer relationship management.
Sales Support : Management of sales support tasks such as preparing and sending certificates of authenticity.
Working Hours and Flexibility:
This role offers the flexibility to work part-time or full-time depending on your preferences and our needs. We are open to discussing your work schedule, including the possibility of weekend work or traditional weekday work. Whether working only on Saturdays or a mix of weekdays and weekends, we aim to create a schedule that suits both your needs and those of our gallery.
About you:
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic arts environment. Your flexibility, reliability, and ability to manage various tasks are essential to keep our daily operations running smoothly. Experience in an administrative or coordinating role, preferably in the art world or a similar sector, is a plus.
