Dakota Theater and Film House is for everyone. We are a reflection of society and serve various people in Escamp, each with their own story, ambition, challenge and desire. Every year there are more than 100 performances, 700 film screenings, various festivals in the neighborhoods around Dakota and there are daily activities in our Artlabs.
Job Description
Program officer 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
You are responsible for the implementation of programming for adults and the implementation and support of the special program line that Dakota is developing for active elderly people. As a program officer you work under the internal program leader of Dakota and you form a team together with the South West program staff and education program officer.
Our programming includes: performances in our hall and on the café stage, side programs inside and outside Dakota, festivals in and outside the home and films in our cinema.
After the program leader has determined the program lines, you will implement the programming. You take care of the administration surrounding performances and films, and in addition to the regular programming, you also provide programs in which seniors are actively involved. Together with the production manager, you ensure that the performance of the performances by the team on the floor runs smoothly. In addition, together with the program leader, you organize meetings to discuss the programming at Dakota with local residents and you set up a Film Club in which active volunteers are involved in the programming of the films. You will also be present at the Ook van Jou Festivals and, if necessary, at activities that we organize in the neighborhood.
You work together with the program leader on peripheral programming for performances and films. You are responsible for organizing the implementation of these programs and are involved in their implementation.
At Dakota, making programs does not stop at the theater and film screen. Dakota also buzzes all year round in our Artlabs, on the square in front of our building and in the neighborhoods around Dakota. In the coming years we will go deeper and deeper into the neighborhoods of Escamp.
What will your tasks be:
Make program proposals for peripheral programming and determine them together with the internal program leader;
Realizing set programs (including plans, performances and films);
Realize the programming based on lines determined by the program leader.
Carrying out administration regarding booked performances and programs (including contracts and planning);
Helping out on the floor during festivals, performances and side programming. Who are you:
You have a big heart for art and culture and think it is important that this is accessible to everyone;
You don't shy away from carefully administering booked programs, schedules and financial agreements;
You have at least 2 years of work experience, preferably in the cultural sector;
You can make good contact with people;
You have an affinity with the target groups of adults and seniors;
You are from The Hague;
