The Flemig Theater is a non-profit cultural association with the name "Theatrical Symphony Organization". It was founded in 1999 by the director and actor of K.Th.B.E. Grigori Mitta who, together with Karina Ioannidou, transformed the specific space into a nursery of culture. In recent years, their close partner has been the actress Christina Maggaki, who with her restless spirit has breathed new life into the venue's events. It is located in Thessaloniki, at the junction of Flemig and Misrahi streets (Misrahi 15), in a two-story neoclassical building, which was restored and turned into a theater and is, by general admission, a jewel for the area. Includes: • a theater room that also functions as a theater studies workshop for adults and children (1st floor) • gallery and foyer (ground floor) • dressing rooms and other auxiliary spaces – cloakroom Main and children's stage operates. It presents Greek and foreign plays from the classical and newer drama repertoire with a special emphasis on modern Greek and unplayed plays. It has a basic core of 10 actors who staff the troupe, which, however, depending on the needs of the distribution of the works it presents, is staffed and enriched with more, from the theater workshop it has. It was created out of artistic concern, a love for theater and a need for a different expression. Its aim is to be a source of artistic inspiration and creation and to give impetus to the promotion of talents in all areas of theatrical art.
